In order to obtain a license in cosmetology, barbering or esthetics, or nail technology in the state of Washington, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the State of Washington Department of Licensing for more information.

Requirements
COSMETOLOGY: 1600 hours
BARBERING: 1000 hours
ESTHETICS: 600 hours
NAIL TECHNOLOGY: 600 hours

Reciprocity
If you are currently licensed in another state or country and you have passed the state-approved national written and performance examinations, you are not required to re-take the exams to get a license in Washington State.
