New Hampshire

In order to obtain a license in nail technology in the state of New Hampshire, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the New Hampshire Board of Cosmetology for more information.

Requirements
Barber: 800 hours or 1,600 hours apprentice
Cosmetology: 1,500 hours or 3,000 hours apprentice
Manicurist: 300 hours
Esthetics: 600 hours

Reciprocity
1,500 hours of Barbering or Cosmetology schooling or notarized letter stating you have 3,000 hours of work experience. Estheticians must have 600 hours of schooling or notarized letter stating you have 1,200 hours of work experience. Manicurist needs 300 hours of schooling or a notarized letter stating you have 600 hours of work experience.
