In order to obtain a license in cosmetology, nail technology or esthetics in the state of Mississippi, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology for more information.

Requirements
COSMETOLOGIST: 1550 hours
ESTHETICS: 600 hours
NAIL TECHNICIAN: 350 hours

Reciprocity
Permitted with Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont and West Virginia.
