In order to obtain a license in cosmetology, esthetics, nail technology, or electrology in the state of Arkansas, students must complete the requirements listed below. Please contact the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology for more information.
Requirements
COSMETOLOGIST: 1500 hours
NAIL TECHNOLOGY: 600 hours
ESTHETICIAN: 600 hours
ELECTROLOGY: 600 Hours or only 350 Hours if you hold a valid cosmetology license.
NAIL TECHNICIAN: 750 clock hours or 600 credit hours
Reciprocity
Granted to all those who hold a valid license but has passed BOTH a written AND practical exam.
